Has anyone recently been having problems with the service from Xbox Live.
Whenever I log-in it seems to take ages whenever I view a friend's profile. I chose them, press A and then it comes up how it normally does but shows them with 0 Gamerscore and Silver for about 30 seconds before loading their information, after another 30 seconds it will finally show their gamer picture. Same happens when viewing achievements, they take forever to load, even people who have lower gamerscores.
I went on the Marketplace and that seemed to have come to a halt almost. I chose Game Marketplace - All Games - Letter 'F' and took about a minute to load, I then chose Fable 2 and that took about 2-3 Minutes to load all the content available on marketplace. I've never known it to be so slow like this.
Has anyone else been having problems like this as such?
Everthing else online (i.e. Internet, PS3 and Wii) seem to be working like normal so I'm guessing my router and internet connection are good.
Also, my 360 is connected via an ethernet cable to the router.
Any help would be appreciated. |

Mine's been even slower and when the content does finally appear I get an error message stating that the content is unavailable. It's only DLC that's affected though, video streams and stuff all seem fine. |

From your description, there doesn't seem to be any reason due to hardware why your connection is slow. If you go to your system settings on the xbox 360 you can diagnose your network.
Once you have run the tests it should tell you what your connection is like. I'm pretty sure if there is a problem then it will tell you what you need to do to fix it.
There is also the possibility that your router needs to have specific ports open. You will need to do a google search on this for your router model and the 360.
Good luck |

Mine's been like this since NXE came into effect. It seems to be if you have a large amount of played games/large friends list it takes forever. It takes 30 seconds from me pressing the guide button before I can do anything, then another 30 seconds if I go in to friends list, then another 30 if I go into a friends profile. Total joke.
On Majorneslon's podcast a few weeks ago he said they are working on it for the next update tho. _________________ Click Here |

Mine takes a long time when I select something I want to download for the actual option to click on something to come up, like get trial version, or download.
Oh, by the way, on a side note, in my profile on this website, is there a way of checking your previous history thread so I don't actually have to search out that thread every single time, thnx. |

Thanks for the advice. However, not long after posting the message everything seemed to go back to normal speed and it has stayed that way ever since. I did have an issue (after Xbox Live went down for a day) where I could get the console to freeze on demand (I'd view someone's profile and if their gamerpic didn't show up all I had to do was go back to my friends list and it would freeze, I managed to do it five times in 2 minutes) but that's gone aswell. I will look into opening ports on my router if the problem re-appears. |
