Meh.
Kinda speaks of a lack of ingenuity to be honest. It's almost like they decided to just throw on a character and have done with it.
With that said, Final Fantasy has never been all that great when it comes to its cover art anyway.

Having Lightning on the cover just emphasises how empty the background is, which wouldn't have been a problem if they'd stuck with tradition and just had a white background with the logo.
Still, it's a nice enough image of Lightning. It's not bad, by any means, but, as Grummy said, it is a bit 'meh'. |

The article was about the cover - I can't wait for this game either!
Some elements seem almost to be 'recycled' (I hesitate to use that word) from FFVII - i.e, the privileged living above, the poorer below; a former member of an elite fighting force of the upper society now fighting against them... there was more, but I forget now. This makes me both excited and hesitant in equal measure, but either way, I can't wait til March. |
