I'll probably pick this up when it comes down in price. The 360 really has very few fun and / or silly party games to play pre / post pub so "Sonic Kart" should fill that space nicely.

Same, I love MK, and I really could do with something like it on 360, so I'll most likely pick it up sometime.

I mean how many Need For Speed's can we take, right? lol

I must be showing my age... I downloaded the demo and didn't know what the Hell was going on in the very first race. Too many bright colours and crap happening for no logical reason. Confused

I play Mario Kart with my nephew and next to that, Sega/Sonic racing seemed quite poor. My four year old nephew wasn't particularly impressed, either.

Has anyone picked this up today, any thoughts on it would be great was thinking about getting but seen some strange reviews and been holding back getting it.

Its brilliant mate. Best kart racer on any system since Diddy Kong Racing on the N64. The 360 has been crying out for a game like this for ages. Ignore the frame rate concerns that are mentioned in the reviews by the way, reviewers were apparently sent out 'before-final-versions' of the game and the retail game runs a smooth 30fps and looks stunning.

Its the best Multiplayer game on the system, just edging Modern Warfare 2 imo. Packed with hidden depth, modes and fun. Its an easy 9.5/10 from me
